Captain Manny V Safely Shows You The Epic Side Of Baja

Of course loads of Americans cross the border into Mexico all year long to enjoy all of the amazing things our neighboring country has to offer: the gracious Mexican people, the stunning natural beauty, the surf breaks, the food!! It's truly a wonderland. But I'm here to tell you that experiencing the adventure with Manny as your guide takes it to the next level! A van full of surf ladies, escorted by our amiable host, set off on Friday afternoon for our Epic journey. We were late getting into Puerto Nuevo for our lobster dinner, but our night was saved by a quick phone call to the owner of Manny's favorite lobster spot. The restaurant had closed, but opened up for us. An incredible lobster feast was served, we ate until we almost burst, and were beyond thankful to the hosts and Manny both. This was our first glimpse into the magic of having him with us. His relationships with the locals, built on respect and gratitude, is the special sauce. We experienced it at every turn. Did the Baja weekender with Epic Surf Tours which was full of tasty food and tasty waves. Manny is an expert surf guide. He knows Baja well and was able to find us fun, uncrowded breaks despite finicky weather, different abilities of the group, and it being a holiday weekend. Having Manny as your guide means you’re spending more time actually surfing and less time figuring out which spot to choose, where to paddle out, and where to sit. At the end of the day, reviewing Mannys drone footage on day 1 also helped me catch 10x more waves by day 3. When we weren’t surfing, we were exploring the area and eating amazing food. Manny is a gem and every local we ran into seemed to adore him - probably because he’s so respectful and generous. Epic surf tours is an ethical and authentic surf vacation, where you can show up with your boards and let an expert plan the rest.

I initially had reservations about traveling across the border for just the weekend and the time it might take for logistics and the border crossings. Manny is such a pro that he has everything absolutely nailed down. There were no issues whatsoever and the trip was incredible easy and extremely well planned out. Manny knows all of the local breaks and knows what will be working best for any given conditions. He also knows exactly where to go for supplies, the best restaurants to go to and how to navigate everything with ease. The place we stayed was right over a terrific break, had great views and worked very well for our party. He takes great videos and pics for all of the surf sessions. The only thing I would have wished for was bigger surf!

Excellent Trip! If you always wanted to surf Baja but don't know where to start, this would be the way to go. Manny knows his stuff on water and on land. He knows his way around and knows the great local spots. Safety was never a concern. It was more like renting a beach house with friends, very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I definitely plan to make it a regular thing.

My group did the Baja Weekender and we all had a blast! Waves were great and uncrowded. Manny is a great surfer/photographer and had really helpful tips which I really appreciated. The food on the trip was awesome! And we got to see a lot of cool local spots. Manny knows the people and the area really well, so it all was really safe and easy. Stoked. We will definitely be doing another trip with Epic Surf Tours.

Manny was a terrific guide for our group: knowledgeable, capable, and kind. We were sitting at a restaurant by the sea and the breeze was a bit chilly. Manny quietly left the restaurant to go purchase several colorful Mexican blankets at a nearby market, which he gave to the ladies in our group to keep warm. Who does that? Manny. Also, he's just a cool guy to hang out with--he fit right in.

Glassy waves, near-empty lineups and lobster -- what else could you want from a Baja surf weekend? Manny V is a fun, chill guide who is dialed in to all the best breaks and restaurants, speaks fluent Spanish, knows the locals and is all about making sure you have a great time. Our group of five women felt totally safe in and out of the water. Can't wait for the next one!

WOW, just wow. I went into the weekend with no expectations as I didn’t know what to expect but by Monday I was blown away (and exhausted ?) All weekend we were led by Manny to incredible surf, cuisine, hospitality and along the way he was anticipating every need. Manny was on top of anything and everything. We were brought to some incredible breathtaking surf spots with epic rights and soft beautiful waves. The food on this trip was outstanding and everywhere we went we felt and were treated so very welcomed and always left full. The accommodations are within walking distance of surf and a private beach. The house was big enough for everyone to enjoy and have their own private space. I will be back, sooner than later! Thank you for such a great weekend!

Highly recommend this trip to everyone. I just did my third Baja Weekender and it just keeps getting better. From delicious pre-surf burritos to empty waves... this trip is great for any level of surfer who wants an authentic Baja experience! Manny V has EVERYTHING dialed in! He knows exactly when and where to take you so that you get the he best [empty] waves, cultural experiences and food! His energy is contagious and you will not be disappointed. Our first time down Baja Norte with Epic Surf Tours and it'll be the first of many. Manny is the consummate host, tour guide, surf guru, you name it. Every detail is perefectly thought out and all you have to do is surf with your friends, relax, eat and enjoy getting away. The surf house is ideal. The food is amazing. I can speak for all of us Perros Jovenes when I say we can't wait to go back.

Manny knows what he is doing! Our trip was seamless from start to finish and was so much fun. Manny has a way of keeping things moving while also not making anyone feel pressured on time and letting the group go with the flow. He knows Mexico - and the places he leads tours - like the back of his hand. We felt safe the whole time and had such a blast. I highly recommend doing a tour with Manny. It'll be one of the best trips of your life!
