EPIC Boat Trip 10-Point Checklist

TRIP VITALS
*Meeting Point: Coronado - The Naked Warrior Statue. Meet on the dock.
*Departing Times: 6:30am Morning Session || 11:30am Afternoon Session (unless otherwise stated)
*Add 20 minutes to the morning commute as there may be traffic on the bridge

Dress Warm
Your boat ride out to the break will range from 30 to 40 minutes depending on the amount of boat traffic. A windbreaker, beanie, and gloves are highly suggested to stay warm before and after your surf session. Have your wetsuit at least half on when you arrive. Changing at the break on the boat can be tricky. I suggest showing up ready to rock.

One Surfboard
Epic Boat B01 is an 18-foot Westcoaster Bayrunner. It’s limited on space. Only one board per surfer. NO BOARD BAG AND LEASH OFF. Keep an eye on the forecast and make your board selection the night before.

One Cinch Bag
Your wetsuit cinch bag (or similar) is perfect to store your wetsuit after surfing. Plus, you’ll keep your extra leash, fins, ding repair, any other surf gear in it.

One Small Backpack
Again, we have limited space. Please pack light. Use this bag to pack your own snacks, wallet, car key, medication, sunscreen, etc. Keep the bag to a small size. A waterproof dry bag is recommended but not mandatory.

Extra Leash/Fins (optional)
The surf breaks are all reef breaks. Be sure to have your fins on tight and your leash nice and working.

Sunscreen & Sunglasses & Wax
I will have @LiveSunnySuncare & @StickyBumpsWax on the boat for us to use. Please bring your own sunscreen, sunglasses & wax if you'd like.

Water Bottle
We’ll have a jug of drinking water to refill your water bottle.

Fast Drying Towel
You can bring any kind of towel but a nice fast-drying towel is best.

Marbella Surfboards
Epic Surf Tours’ partnership with Marbella Surfboards allows me to have a sick board on hand to demo. When possible, I’ll have a fish or similar at your disposal.

10. DO NOT BRING THESE ITEMS ONBOARD
These items are restricted to come on the boat: Bananas, shoes that leave skid marks, anything flammable, sharp objects, weapons, firearms, and pets.

The Captain has the right to refuse anyone boarding the boat for any reason.

Your epic surf trip to San Diego will start off with a welcome dinner. That is when I'll lay out what we have on tap for your full week in paradise. Just like all my other surf trips, we are all about finding minimal crowded waves and surfing our brains out. Plus, I will show you the beautiful things that make San Diego "America's Finest City."

The iconic Bird's Surf Shed, a local shaping bay, and the Surf Museum in Oceanside are just a few things that will be on the itinerary. There are some many things and so little time!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Epic Surf Tours has two units available. Each unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each unit has the ultimate unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. Very clean and close to the waves and restaurants. *Note: If two surfers book, they will stay in one unit and have their own bedroom and bathroom. Couples will be offered a $250 discount each; making it a total of $500 off between the two!

Epic Boat Trip

Just like all my other surf trips, we’re all about finding waves and surfing our brains out. And on this particular trip, I also want to show you the beautiful things that make San Diego "America's Finest City." With that being said, safety will be the top of the priority list when venturing out. All commands from your captain must be followed.

Respecting the surfers that have been going to these sacred waves for decades, you will be briefed on surfing etiquette, safety and respect on the way out to the breaks.

Price: $129/person if booking for 1 person ||| $114/person if booking for 2 people ||| $99/person if booking for 3 people
Booking: For a discounted rate, one person must select the 2 or 3 person option at the time of booking.

Wave Riding Vehicle: All Types
Experience: Novice - Pro (Dependent on swell size). This surf trip is not for beginners. Able to swim and knowledge of pecking order hierarchy must be known.

On the way out to the sacred breaks, you will be briefed on the breaks and more importantly, respect. Respecting the locals, the reefs, and mother nature is just shy of our priority… SAFETY. When the waves are pumping, we could expect a crowd out there. On the other hand, we could end up being the only ones out there. Either way, and I'll say it again, respect is right up there with safety.

Once you’re confirmed, you'll be sent an Epic Boat Trip info sheet with details on what to bring and what to expect. This trip is four and a half hours from beginning to end. No need for a suitcase. Simply show up ready to surf.
